I’m surprised no publisher has taken up the task of republishing these great works in full. Concise and clearly written essays are followed by superbly annotated stategy from many of the greats of the early and mid-twentieth century like Nimzovich, Alekhine, Smyslov and Botvinnik.
As for descriptive, I prefer it and still record most of my OTB games in descriptive although am trying to change but constantly relapse.
