Sabina Kane 5 books. It could have been that I preferred reading about the Vampire world present in the first book rather than the Mage world which was dominant in this book. Vampire Diaries 1 by L. Her mission will wellss her into the bowels of New York’s Black Light district, entangles her in mage politics, and challenges her beliefs about the race she was raised to distrust. They are making a pit-stop when they are accosted by a hit squad seemingly sent by the Dominae the triad of ancient vampiresses who control the vampire race, of which The Alpha Dominae is Sabina’s grandmother who betrayed her in the first novel From there she enters the confusing, and at times frustrating world of mage-kind.
But as he kaye to his past mistakes with Sabina and sincerely apologises for everything he did, I started to really like him. We got to see more of Sabina learning to use her magic, got to know some new people and saw a lot of people try to kill her and Giguhl. Get to Know Us. He was funny, again, and some small new facets of his story come out, but bladk the comic relief, not the central story. Now, the biggest problem I had was that Adam wasn’t really in this book at all. While I enjoyed the first book in the Sabina Kane series I ended up absolutely devouring The Mage in Black and for me this is where the series really kicked up a gear.

Sabina started off in Book 1 as this lone assassin who only had to think for herself, and had little to no patience when it came to getting the job done.
